Marriage

What We Believe About Marriage

We believe that marriage is a sacred covenant, established by God from the very beginning of creation, between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:18–24). It is not a human invention but a divine institution, designed to reflect Christ’s covenant love for His Church (Ephesians 5:22–33).

We affirm that:

  1. Marriage is God-ordained—a holy union in which a man and a woman are joined together by God, becoming “one flesh” in love, commitment, and purpose (Matthew 19:4–6).
  2. Marriage is exclusive and lifelong—a covenant meant to endure, where husband and wife live in faithfulness to one another until death (Malachi 2:14–16; Romans 7:2).
  3. Marriage is purposeful—given for companionship, for the nurturing of families, and for the advancement of God’s Kingdom on earth (Genesis 1:27–28; Psalm 127:3–5).
  4. Marriage is sacred—and therefore to be honored, guarded, and kept pure. Any distortion or corruption of this divine order stands outside of God’s manifest holy will (Hebrews 13:4; 1 Corinthians 6:9–11).
  5. Marriage is a witness—a living testimony of Christ’s love for His Bride, the Church. Husbands are called to love their wives sacrificially, and wives to honor their husbands in the fear of the Lord, so that the world may see God’s love displayed in the family unit (Ephesians 5:25–33).

Therefore, we as a ministry stand firmly upon the eternal truth of God’s Word: that holy marriage is only between one man and one woman, joined together in covenant under God, and no other definition of marriage can be accepted according to the manifest will of the Lord.
